Specialized Endocrinology, Thyroid & Metabolic Disorders in McKinney & Plano

Comprehensive diagnostic management for Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, thyroid nodules, adrenal fatigue, and complex metabolic conditions at our modern Adriatica Village medical facility.

Millions of adults suffering from unexplained exhaustion, hair thinning, weight gain, and cold intolerance are repeatedly told their thyroid is "normal" after a basic TSH screen. At our McKinney Adriatica center, our clinicians look deeper. We evaluate the full endocrine axis — including Free Triiodothyronine (T3), Free Thyroxine (T4), Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) antibodies, Thyroglobulin antibodies, and Reverse T3 — to identify autoimmune Hashimoto's and subclinical thyroid disease years before permanent glandular damage occurs.

Who is a good candidate

  • Persisting fatigue, unexplained cold sensitivity, chronic constipation, or depression despite normal TSH levels
  • Diagnosed or suspected Hashimoto’s autoimmune thyroiditis
  • Palpable neck fullness, difficulty swallowing, or detected thyroid nodules requiring ultrasound
  • Need for combination T4/T3 therapy (Levothyroxine + Liothyronine) or natural desiccated thyroid

Treatment protocol

  • Step 1: Expanded Endocrine Lab Panel — Blood testing for TSH, Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3, TPO Antibodies, Ferritin, Vitamin D, and fasting cortisol.
  • Step 2: In-Office High-Resolution Thyroid Ultrasound — Evaluation of thyroid parenchymal texture, vascularity, and nodule sizing (TI-RADS scoring) in our comfortable procedural suite.
  • Step 3: Individualized Hormone Replacement — Personalized medical prescription tailored to your cellular conversion capacity, avoiding the "one-size-fits-all" Synthroid approach.
  • Step 4: Autoimmune & Nutritional Optimization — Dietary antibody mitigation, selenium, and metabolic monitoring to arrest autoimmune glandular destruction.

Frequently asked questions

Why does my current doctor say my thyroid is fine when I feel exhausted?

Standard primary care blood tests frequently only check Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH). However, TSH is a pituitary hormone, not a direct measure of active cellular thyroid hormone. You may have severe tissue-level deficiency of active Free T3 or high levels of autoimmune antibodies that go undetected without an expanded endocrine panel.

Do you offer in-office thyroid ultrasound in McKinney?

Yes. Our McKinney Adriatica facility features diagnostic high-resolution ultrasound (CPT 76536) on-site, allowing immediate evaluation of thyroid nodules without the delay and expense of hospital imaging centers.

Do I need a referral from my primary care doctor to be seen?

No referral is needed for the vast majority of our PPO, POS, and Medicare patients. You can schedule directly with our clinical intake team.
